My buddy says a gen 2 RX7 is probably lighter but the weight difference is slim. Go for it, whats the final verdict on the engine? Still lookin?

Go ls1 and bore it. Its lighter and you can get the power you want. plus its cheaper than the ls2 and l33 and bigger than lm7 and l33.

You can't bore an LS1 more than .010 oversize. If you want bigger go LS2, L92 or LS3 for aluminum.

I meant lighter than the lm7. An old ls1 is more expensive than a newer l33, strange. I found this. Not sure if you want to go this route. 1300 for an LS2 alum bare block.
