6.0 swap

thanks a lot.....i would buy them together but i think ill have to do it separate cuz im gonna have to buy the 6.0 new (no junkyards around here have used ones) but i dont have the cash for a new tranny too....

One of our site sponsors, HWYAUTO, has the 6.0L with transmission and I believe he's in Brownwood TX, not too awful far from you and will ship it to your door or a depot for you to pick it up. He's got good prices, also.

There is a 6.0L for sale on DFWLS1.com for $1800 with 30K on it if Austin doesn't have one available.

Those prices have a touch of reality to them. The prices on Ebay are just stupid. Guys are asking almost new prices for take-outs on there and it's rediculous. I called Tennessee Auto Salvage and they had prices like Ebay and Street and Performance. It's amazing that people are paying those prices for used parts and they don't get crap for a warranty.

Got mine on Ebay over a year ago. &#036;1650 shipped = 20,000 mile 5.3/4L60E, all accessories, driveshaft and other bits and pieces, no harness or PCM however. I picked those up locally at a wrecking yard for &#036;200.
Got tired of tripping over it in the garage and finally got started on the swap just recently....

Wow, I guess should have looked in Texas, I picked up an 05 5.3 , tranny, wire harness, computer, and crossover pipe with cats and all o2 sensors with only 5 miles on it for 2800.00 plus shipping during Christmas on Ebay. Here in the peep holes republic of caulifornia you can&#39;t touch any combo for under 4000.00, just the ls1 motors are going anywhere 2500.00 on up with high mileage.
