Y 4.10s not b enough? U suggessting 4.55s? Im looking for harder faster launches but still decent driveability. My motor is technically an LR4, iron block with aluminum heads, but its really just an iron block LS genIII. Also has 12 degrees of valve dwell time, which means it will respond better to boost then other LS designs, future does include a maggie or mb a turbo, but I want to see how much NA horsies I can squeeze outta this tuff lik motor

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

If im not mistaken the diablo tuner allows custom tuners to email you a tune that can be loaded into your truck directly.... just saying also think the slr chip is prolly less effective than a normal custom tune.

I think 4.10's would be a good choice unless you are going with a tall tire.

Remember these boys on this site aren't new to the LS truck game some may have enough knowledge to slap you silly
PS quik here had one of the fastest 4.8 turbo trucks ever if i am not mistaken so don't bag on him too hard guy knows his shiz even if he is a grinch at times haha

Im currently running a 275\60\17 tire. Factory rims. I thought 4.10s would b a good all around choice.

ok ok with the mods you may get 225-230 rwhp, get it dynoed as it sits and report back, ive dynoed my truck thru its whole life i know what stock numbers are and modded numbers, on my supposed factory freak 5.3 i dynoed stock 259 rwhp, came with a corsa cat back, and a few other nick nacks, there is a huge difference in engine HPs and RWHPs.

What's a dyno? Never put my truck on one. At least with this engine.

Ur truck is probably producing around 250hp to the wheels on a cold day. Heat soak can really screw hp readings. The iat vs timing table is aggressive.

Ull also loose a few hp with steeper gears but gain a lot of acceleration.

    Keep us updated!

Well after much fussin n cussin removing the old exhaust manifolds, the pacesetters slid right in. I uaed new felpro gaskets, no leaks, only costs $13 @ autozone. amazingly it wasnt the header bolts that gave me problems, it was the nuts on the ypipe flanges. Just took some pentrating oil and a lot of elbow grease. Now to go burn off the rest of that black paint.....
