7/200 but only for excessive return rates, not for smoking, leaking, etc.

The ones from the dealer are not actually new, they are remans but done right, not thrown together. If it only smokes after extended idle do two things.

    1) Don't do extended idle
    2) Buy more fuel 'cause it uses too much.

It just passed the 7 year mark on the build date. It doesn't have to idle long, a minute or two some times... and it comes and goes. Some times you come to a stop and a brief white cloud will pass the truck on the right side.

He did take it to a dealer before the warranty was up (to get it on record) and they worked on it all day charged him $360 bucks labor and there determination was the K/N air filter (which is always the scape goat...) that had been on the truck for 60k miles and been cleaned once and was not over oiled (I did it myself), but they said that it got oil on the MAF and screwed it up. MAF has been thoroughly cleaned and didn't make a bit of diff in the smoking.

If it's a crewcab and you decide around June that you may sell it cheap, I'll be in your neck o' the woods in late June. I will give her a good home.

They should not have charged you so much to be wrong or lie about the K&N but it's 99% that it would not have been covered as the extra warranty is for excess return rate due to ball seat erosion which does not cause smoking at idle....it causes fuel in crankcase most obviously and other smaller symptoms.
