Well I took my truck in for an exhaust leak because of a broken exhaust manifold bolt. Service guy said there shouldn't be a problem because of the turbo. Well the bolt that broke off is on drive side rear, right next to the fire wall. So i stop by the shop after work and the service guy tells me that because of the estimate they gave them, the insurance adjuster had to come take a look at it to see if they would cover it. The only way they could change the bolt was to pull the engine or remove intake and head. About $1100 to pull the engine or $1600 to pull intake and head. The service guy said if it was still under factory warranty they would change it with no problem. But sense it's the extend warrany it's up to them. Well i got the call today and they said they could not cover it because of the turbo and could not cover the engine or tranny but will cover everything else. The thing that pisses me off is that the turbo has nothing to do with the bolt braking. So i guess if the ac give out they will blame it on the turbo and won't cover it. So it looks like i'll have to get something in writing to make sure it doesn't happen. Sorry for all the rambling on, i just had to vent a little.
