Don't use silicon, use strip caulk or gorilla snot. The lights come with gaskets that work, the factory ones leak around the screws, that's what the goo is for. Jon, instead of cab lights get 3-5 shark fin OnStar antennae (used to have some but sold them on eBay to people that wanted them for LOOKS! ) and paint them red. Mount them across the front light non-lit, non-light cab lights.

Multiple onstar fins just for decoration?!?!

Good Gord. Some people should just be issued Scions, old Geos, or suzukis or other ugly, plentiful cars.

I wasn't talking smack. I just don't dig'em unless on a dually. I can definitely understand the functionality of them on a tall truck. I'm just one of those dudes who will sacrifice functionality for cleanliness. I'm a "shave anything and everything off" kinda guy. I will also admit though that if I decide to buy a dually then it will be equipped with them

I got a set of the smoked LED 07+ GM lights for my truck from RECON. They were factory replacement lights with the seals on the bottom. Siliconed under the screw heads and around the base outside of the factory seal and they have been fine not to mention theyre only about 3/4 of an inch tall. Theyre all black when theyre off too. Now my useless half ton looks like the one ton I should have bought lol

i looked at getting those, too, because i've got the smoked LED tails & CHMSL, but i'm gonna have to get the 02-07 style with bulbs because the 07+ LED style only come with amber or white lights & all my signals/DRLs are purple

3M Marine sealant works much better. It will seal anythnig that sits under water for years!! Hell, even Walmart used to sell it. Use it sparingly to tack down the lights and a little on each screw and your in business.

Anyone that bashes someone for thinking "out of the box" is not a true hot rodder. Do what you like and if it is cool, many will follow.
