    $15,000 for the engine itself.. and as much hp as we can get out of that money invested on the engine.. N/A or F/I dont matter..

    then go like that guy with the street sweeper denali did. LSX engine with twins/ big single. you should have plenty of money for that.
    what allen says is true though. I have spent over 5 grand and Im still a ways out. Its a sickness.

    Well figure this, if you don't build what you have, you're going over budget.
    A forged engine, $5000, heads, $1500, intake setup $1000, fuel system $1500, good headers $900, exhaust $500.

    That's already over $10k if you figure shipping and misc items you can't account for.

    So , now you have an engine, what about rearend, traction, transmission, cooling.

    You can buy a 6L, head , cam it, 175shot, now you have over a 650hp engine for a lot less that is going to beat just about anything your run against.

    Just my opinion, good luck on the build,
