Oh yeah PCM came with it. Had almost all of the wiring harness too. Was only missing a few connectors here and there but figured out which ones pretty quick. Been piecing it together since March and its just now almost done lol I just got my PCM back in the mail today. I'm pretty jacked about that. I actually had to send it back to the guy who programmed it for me again. The first program I had done (my guess being) I erased it all with my Superchips tuner hahaha So if you get a Superchips Flashpaq Tuner after having VATS deprogrammed out of it, be careful with what your doing, I learned the hard way. Anyway, it runs great, I absolutely LOVE how it sounds! I'm only running 2 1/4" piping with Dynamax mufflers but damn it sounds great. A close second is my "custom" cold air intake. It goes like this in this order: throttle body, MAF sensor, massive cone air filter. LOL It whistles and hisses just enough so it sounds like a turbo, its really a great thing. I'll post a video up one of these days after I fix my VSS problem.

Hey Podunk. My wife and I vacation up in Boise and around Idaho in general. Been up there a half dozen times or so. Anyway, just thought I'd say hey. Hoping to be living up there someday. If so I'll have the truck with me. I'll look forward to making a few runs. Would like to take it to Firebird...

Anyway, just thought I'd say hey. Don't see many people from Idaho.

Right on! Its good to talk to people who know the area. Idaho is a really beautiful state, many people don't realize that. Yeah Firebird is definitely one of my first stops after my truck is all said and done. I'm hoping to be in the neighborhood of 345 hp after I (correctly) tune it. Where about are ya from and what brings you to Idaho?

There's a website called findyourspot.com. You fill out a bunch of stuff and it gives your recommendations as to what areas are a good fit for you. I like hiking and outdoor activities, mountains, etc. Wifey likes shopping and decent restaurants. So Boise was one of the areas it recommended.

Just bumping this thread......I'm starting to plan a 5.3/6.0 swap in a 90' 4x4 Suburban. I've been toying with the idea of just running a Ford Dana 60 with a driver side drop and not worrying about the speed sensor. Plus the bonus of 1-ton axles.

If anyone has any new insight or ideas....I'm buying....

Im running an 05 lq4 with the 4l80 and and np243 without any speed sensor problems. From what Ive read the Tbi engines did have a 40 pulse sensor.

Not to bring up old posts, but I want to second this one. Boise ROCKS!!!!!! I never thought I would say that, but after being there twice in the last year I dig it. I was there in July for 2 weeks, then again in April for 3 days. I did get snowed on this last time, it sucked. I was working on an airplane for 6 hrs in the damn snow.

So, im trying to understand this. I have an 86 k5 factory v8 700r4 np208 i wanted to swap a 5.3 or 6.0 with a 4l60e, hopefully into stock location and not have to move transfer case or cut axles, and this 4 pulse verses 40 pulse is confusing me.

What all work is there to bolt the 4l60e to the np208 and get it to work and shift correctly? Is the reculator ring in the back of the trans then? Trying to understand all this.

Im pre tbi or fuel injection, and planned on just running a vette style regulator and possibly a 87-91 blazer tank that had factory efi with a different fuel pump.

Im hoping to keep it stock location as stated before, if i gotta start dealing with driveshafts and corssmembers, just gonna do a 4l80e mid 80s np205 and a 3/4ton running gear.
