    come on guys try a blow gun or 22 that more than enough not really i use whatever is closes to me they always catch me off gaurd last time i used my truck pulling out of the driveway

    im pretty sure if u shot a snake, no one would get mad even the cops. i know the cops around here would pull out their own pistols and shoot them without blinking an eye...

    Get a Remington Express 12 gauge pump. They are very reliable and not expensive. You can pic one up from academy for low $200s. Thats what I have and have not had a problem with it.

    put a couple Indigo snakes on your property, they'll take care of your rattlesnake problem. A California Kingsnake will do the job, also. I'm not sure if they'll handle living in Texas. They'll probably wrap themselves around a tree and forget they're supposed to be hunting for a living.
