TOTM contest are great untilit becomes a forum pissing contest wich is what happened over there.

The contest should be about the trucks afterall we are all truck enthusiast and not about popularity.

That forum is huge so I can see why it gets out of hand so easily. It kinda gets out of hand over here, but everyone kind of knows everyone. Even the guys we barely know already know us

I gave 203cree a nice reply to his PM he sent me explaning why I feel the way I do. I think its bull**** he they got kicked out, there are no rules for the TOTM contest, how can we be violating them? It should should be set to where you have to have a certain post count and/or amount of time registered with the site along with atleast logging weekly to vote, that guarantees it is active members voting. He acts like it takes him all day long to do the TOTM contest, its nice to have the contest I agree but to hold it over our heads like we are children and to send a PM like that is total BS now I understand why so many of the mods dont like him. He has always been cool with me and everyone else I thought but that PM changes my view on him for sure. Very unproffesional for a mod to send out a PM like that. If they ban me because I simply posted a thread that was against no rules ont he site thats pretty chicken ****. Danny got a little out of hand last night but it wasnt anything big, we were all laughing about it by the time we all gave up arguing with each other. Sure its not totally appropriate but atleast on my part I posted nothing against site guidelines. I dont see anything wrong with posting a link to remind people to vote for the TOTM contest. Porn may be crossing the line but its not like everyone was voting because he posted those links, he posted like 40 links in the first 2 hours and in that time he got maybe half a doazen votes. It was all in good fun until it was made a huge issue, the race thing never was a big deal, brobrahs comments made it a big deal. Its over and done with, who gives a ****, people get their panties in way too big of a wad over the internet. Some times I think people dont have al ife outside of the internet, since they take things so seriously.

There are rules and regs, Cody. Now, I will give you this much, up to this point there weren't rules covering what just took place. There will be from now on. This is not the first time it's happend, but we're going to make it the last.

That's the thing. It DOES take days at times. You think everyone sends their writeups formatted the way you see them? Devoid of spelling errors and horrible grammar? I wish they did, but they don't. You'd be amazed at how much editing we actually do before you even see it.

As far as holding it over your heads, that's not what I'm doing. It's up to you guys wether we put it on or not. If that's how it's going to be everytime, drama drama everywhere, then it's not worth it. All it does is create a headache and a mess that someone has to clean up AFTER they already took the time to put everything together.

How did you take my PM to mean I was going to ban you? I didn't see anything you did that was out of line...... in fact I thougt I complemented you on being the voice of reason.....

And that's why Danny didn't get banned. He was out of line, but he was also provoked into making the comments that he did. I gave him some infractions, for one because he deserved them and for two because I can't just let it slide. I wouldn't be doing my job if I did.

There really isn't anything wrong with it. The porn thing for votes is what highsided myself and some of the other staff. It's purely classless. Not the type of person we want in our contest, and certainly not an image we want associated with the site.

No, it wasn't all in good fun. It took something that was all in good fun and put it in the toilet.

Its over and done with, who gives a ****, people get their panties in way too big of a wad over the internet. Some times I think people dont have al ife outside of the internet, since they take things so seriously.

Let me ask you something. If you took a fair amount of time out of your schedule ( and mine is quite busy thanks to Uncle Sam ) to do something, paid out of your own pocket to provide prizes to the winners, and tried your best to make sure that everything was fair for everyone involved, wouldn't you take it personal if people just walked in and took a giant poo all over it?


Now, there's a lot of things going on behind the scenes right now that you don't know about, and quite frankly, you don't need to know about. I'll post on PT when the time comes and let everyone know what's going on then. Until then I suppose you can continue to think of me as being "Chicken ****", as you so elequently put it.
