OK maybe I jumped the gun here. I did not know that this unit was purchased as a used piece. I can guarantee that I did not leave parts out of the unit when it was originally built for the record. I build many units and always check clutch clearance and end play with the proper tools. I also make some of the custom pieces you guys might have seen in that unit if they were still there. I just have an issue when I see the FLT name brought up in threads like this. As you were. Sorry! Vince

all in all the trans did take a whole lot of abuse, the guy Moze got it from sprayed a 150 shot on it for who knows how many bottles and Moze beat in it for a year, part of that with some boost, that trans had more beating on then any of my built ones have had, i was impressed for sure...

Now Moze is in a hoe for a couple of days...how does it feel to be cruising a slow daily

Hahaha. Caught myself by the nape here before I ever even had to edit my post.

I'll save everyone the remainder of the facts because I'm hurting people's feelers.

Where's the humor? I guess I'm missing it.

Hindsight is 20/20. If I knew I was going to wind up waiting this long and spending this much, I would have sent it to you.

Standing in my driveway staring at a broken daily driver and not knowing how I was going to get to work for who knows how long and not really having the funds to send it back to you or the time to wait for it prompted me to accept Greg's offer to rebuild it. I made what I felt was the best decision given my circumstances.

I should have said the limit is around 500hp - not given an E.T. Vince even told me the limit was probably about 500hp. That will put most trucks in the low 12's or so.

These guys have been around for a while and deal extensively with 60e's, 65e's, and 80e's. And they said the same thing Vince said - that I was probably at my limits anyway.

Again, I'm not, and don't think I have, pointed a negative finger at FLT. I believe it was heat that ultimately killed this, not an error or omission on their part.

No hard feels Moze. I really was not aware of the issues you had going on here until the PM you sent me last week about the servo. Keep in mind I talk to many people and can not remember every situation. I talked with Chuck and Andy about the PM and they had said you had called a few times. I actually did not have all the facts straight when posting as RedHeartbeat pointed out to me. I apologize for being out of line if that is the way it was taken. I take a lot of pride in my work and sometimes it gets the best of me. I hope things work out for you. Vince

Chuck and Andy were both extremely helpful over the past couple of weeks and again, I don't think any of this was FLT's error and I hope I haven't conveyed that. You guys build some bad@$$ transmissions and I have absolutely ZERO complaints about this one.

That's one of the first things he mentioned he was going to do was check the pressure.

What do you mean by converter drama? I was thinking of going to the 80e since I seem to be at the limits of this transmission.
