What??? I only want it if its a 6.0L. Should I seperate the two to check the block ID????
I am going to look it over good...but I wont be able to tell the two apart w/o look at the back of the block or is there an easier way??? IF it does have the 317/alum heads then I should be cool??

Yeah, 317s are only used from the factory on 6L engines. They could have been swapped on there but it would reduce compression and performance, so not a likely swap onto a 5.3L engine.

Ok, found the Transdapt number I used. It was the 4592 kit. It came with motor mounts that were useless.
So just get the plates if you go with Transdapt.

well I am happy to announce it was a LQ9! Caddy HO 6.0.
Alum heads
He had the trans apart and I saw the block marking.
wiring is choppy but I have the PCM, MAF (or what ever that thing is by the airbox)
I will take some pics as I get it out of the truck, its cold here in Michigan.

Congrats man - you'll love it. I love mine Are you going to install as-is or will you be upsizing the bumpstick or ??? For sure while you've got it out consider installing a converter!
