How did you get the motor that clean? Or is it all new? Looks great.

WOW! How did I miss this post? That's one clean looking engine bay. Looks like a fresh paint job under there. I like those radiator clamps on the top. Where'd they come from?

The motor is a pullout w/ 70k on it. I took my sodablaster to it after taping over all the holes, and it cleaned up really nice, plus the soda won't harm anything.

Yes, fresh paint under the hood at the time, it is at my bodyshop right now and they are supposed to have the glass in and the entire truck painted about the 1st week of december, I'll update this topic when I get it back.

The radiator clamps came with the flexible SS hose from summit. I think it was a summit branded kit.

Not the hose clamps, the top clamps for the radiator that mount it to the radiator core support.

Greg, those look like the factory clamps. I have a set like that also that used to hold the plastic shroud in place. I used them to design my stainless cover.

Yes, those are factory clamps, for some reason the bolt holes didn't line up, so I had to redrill the one side.

Funny, my 28" radiator didn't have those.

    UPDATE:

Mostly back from paint Still waiting on the grill and cowl to be wet-sanded, and he hadn't painted the bumper cover yet. The hood had to be redone, after wet-sanding and buffing he found a ding it it. Supposed to come up and put it all on for me next week, will get more and better pics then. Time to start working on it!

And for giggles here is what I started with:

Oh, and can anyone tell me any other way that the radiator was mounted on top? I don't like the rubber clamp setup I have now, it wiggles too much that I don't feel comfortable mounting my LS1 fan onto it.

Nice progress! So you started off with a lwb? Did you chop the frame or did you just use a swb frame?
