Well I ditched the crappy original P1SC ATI Procharger setup and made a custom one.

I used 4" aluminum tubing & various angled couplers to get the largest AEM dry filter I could find (which is a 4" inlet, 6" diameter by 9" in length). I went with the new dry technology partly so I don't have to mess with oiling anymore, and partly because it is different. I piped it back to the factory area over the top of the engine. The filter that came with the Procharger is a measely 3.5" inlet, 4" diameter and 7" long.

WOT picked up an honest 1 psi of boost. I know, I know it isn't much. But it does prove how restrictive the original setup was. SOTP meter felt it pull harder up top (which is what I was hoping for). I have made it to 9 psi!!! This is running the 10 psi pulley designed for the 5.3 system. I have a 12 psi pulley on the shelf that is really, REALLY calling my name!!

As for temps, I noticed the aluminum holds heat longer after sitting at a light after a WOT run. At 88* a WOT run through 1st, 2nd, and up to 5,000 rpm in 3rd only netted an increase to 112*. Doesn't seem bad to me, but I have nothing else to compare it to. I think there is more in this thing, especially since I am still running the tune for my TR 224 cam and a couple weeks ago swapped (THANKS JETHRO) to a Ligenfelter GT2-3 cam. Allen, you getting ready yet???

HUGE THANKS TO BILLY @ TRT for hooking me up with the aluminum & couplers. If you aren't using him, you are missing out.
