I know you guys are sick of hearing me on this, but I'm still having a hard time deciding between converters. Here is what I'm trying to decide between and the factors affecting my decision (or should I say "indecision"?):
Yank 2600 - Allen has this in his Avalanche and likes it. Says it actually stalls at 3000 which is what I was really wanting. Nearly everyone with a similar setup to mine recommends a 3000 stall. So ultimately that's what I want to end up with. My concern is that for some reason in mine it WON'T stall at 2600 then I'm stuck with it. Pulling it, getting it restalled and reinstalling it isn't an option - I want this done right the first time. The price is also good at $375. I'm not spending $475 + $50 shipping for the 3000 (especially when I can get it from Fuddle for less). Also if I got this one, I doubt I would need an additional cooler.
Fuddle 3000 - I have yet to find one person complain about a Fuddle converter. My concern is it's diamater is 9.5", which means I'll need an additional tranny cooler (right?). But that's also the reason I like it. The smaller it is the better off the line it SHOULD be due to less rotational mass. I don't tow, haven't yet anyway, but will at times need to carry loads in the bed (moving friends, hauling sod for around the house, whatever...).
Vigilante 2800-3000 - I'm only putting this on here because the only way I would get one is if I found a good deal on a used one. They have such a good rep, I would be willing to get one "lightly" used...unless someone can convince me otherwise...
Thoughts please?
