louder is good.......as long as its louder than the infamous fart tube ur good to go! One of my female coworkers was laughing at a punk ass ricer that was flooring it up into the teller lanes today at work, she said it was too loud. So i asked her about what she thought about mine, she was like "at least it sounds good and not liek that POS!" V8 sound rules!

See there, women lie when they say size doesnt matter. Sure she could have 4 but she'd definitely prefer to get 8?

Amen Brother! That's one of the biggest reasons I did my swap was cuz I just couldn't live with the fact my truck had a V6 and everyone could tell by the sound of it. It actually ran pretty good (10.80's & 10.90's in the 1/8 with 3.08 gears) but I felt inadequate as a man somewhat because I wasn't driving a V8. Now I am, and everyone can tell, heads turn when I drive by. I still feel inadequate though. LOL

Don't know yet, I don't have a 1/4 mile track near me just 1/8 mile. Hopefully I'll be able to find out real soon, I'll definitely post up when I do.

Let me guess it was the ground the goes from the pcm to the engine block behind the power steering pump?

I had a long response typed out for this thread when you first posted it about checking the grounds but there was some error or soemthing and it all got erased and I just said screw it.

Glad you got everything figured out.

i know this is really old, but i'm having this exact problem.

99 NBS swapped a 4.3 to a 5.3. i've been thinking it was the clutch position sensor, but you say it's just a ground? any detailed info and pictures would help a bunch. thanks!!
