    The point is not the cam being radical.........

    the point is it has a smaller base circle, so they are needed to keep the geometry.

    chrisj6, I don't know what I was thinking. You're correct, the truck and LS1 engines have a base circle of 19.7mm The 01 LS6 has a base circle of 19.3mm and the 02 LS6 has a base circle of 19mm. You would definitely want to increase the push rod length to accomodate for the difference or put in a 0.6mm longer valve stem. I posted a write up on this awhile back on the changes in the LS6 cams.

    soooo 7.45" pushrods will make up the diff?

    ChrisJ6 I have never heard of someone gaining 41rwhp from a ZO6 cam. I gained barely more than that with my comp 222/224 112lsa cam and its alot bigger than the ZO6 cam. You didnt add anything else with the cam swap. I just dont see that large of a gain from the diff in lift and duration.
