That 70e is basically just another 60e. The y-pipe will not bolt up and fit on the OBS models.

I was told that the internals in the 70e are a lot stronger than the 60. Parts are a bit harder to come by up here... And they're a lot more expensive that's why I opted for the 70.

Basically the same exact thing. From what I understand the main difference is the planatery set in the 65e and 70e is different than the 60e. Just because something is more expensive doesnt mean its better.....a built 60e is more than a stock 80e and there are guys out there with stock 80e's doing very well when they had gone through multiple built 60e's.

IIRC the 70e has some hybrid ideas that the 80e has like input speed sensor along with the output speed sensor. It's an interesting looking design. Lets hope it holds up for you more than the older 60e do for most. It should be a good unit if you're not abusive to it. Be sure you add a big external cooler to maintain temp.

I'm the other pain in the ass Canadian a few of these knuckleheads have already mentioned. I am the site's self-appointed Canadian ambassador. so any issues with these damn stubborn 'Mericans let me know and I'll straighten them out during the annual LS1Truck shootout in Texas.

No but seriously, I'm just a couple hours out from ya. Need any help let me know. I'm in London once in a blue moon, usually to go to Cowboy's if they got a decent band playin

Sounds good Frenchy... I have HUGE problems with 'Mericans, my mother-in-law is from the south can you straighten her out for me? I just might need a hand, but I haven't even started ripping the old engine out yet. Bangbang, I meant that parts are more expensive, as in an 80e is $1300 my cost. I picked the 70e up for $800. Red, no need to worry. I don't plan on abusing it too much , and you read my mind about the cooler. I was planning on installing one. Any thoughts on camshafts? Are any of you guys running one?
