no way - truck came stock with 285 hp, and even if the part manufactorers claims WERE true ](18hp on a CAI? i dont think so but lets entertain this idea for a sec) that would put me at +18hp for the CAI, +40hp for the SLR motorsports chip, +25hp for custom exhaust work, +35hp from diablo tuner, that would be 403hp. Now we all know this IS NOWHERE NEAR THE TRUTH.... but your telling me i'm only putting down 200rwhp from a truck with those mods that came from factory with 285hp? (and we all know GM is notorious for lying about their true HP numbers). Even with the 4l60e trans and stock 3.23 gears the loss from flywheel to pavement isnt that great. i havent met a f-150, titan, tundra or hemi ram i havent smoked yet.
Dont be one of those "newbie bashers"....

Kyhunter89 - ty - i will look them up - Bowling Green isnt too far a drive - i cud make a day of it.

oh and btw $ wasnt right for 4.10s this paycheck, since i dont have the tools to install them myself and wud hafta pay for installation, but it was right for a set of headers! shud have em in a week

Haha guys.... Its simply a lil box containing a small circuit board that intercepts the IAT sensor signal, optimizes it, and sends new signal back to the ecm. Simple trick that fools ur ecm into making better power under acceleration.

That's what I thought. It tells the PCM the engine is getting colder air than it is, you get a couple more degrees of timing.

...that being said, there's no reason to buy new gaskets. Just use your stock ones unless something is wrong with them.

Stock ones are better than any others I've seen. Never could get another kind to seal.

Remember I said those were manufacter claims which we all kno are exaggerrated to all hell. 06gmc 4.8 was listed at 285hp, even on my window sticker, and also on various sites like autotrader, kelly blue book, etc... Y 4.10s not b enough? U suggessting 4.55s? Im looking for harder faster launches but still decent driveability. My motor is technically an LR4, iron block with aluminum heads, but its really just an iron block LS genIII. Also has 12 degrees of valve dwell time, which means it will respond better to boost then other LS designs, future does include a maggie or mb a turbo, but I want to see how much NA horsies I can squeeze outta this tuff lik motor
