    ....or 10 bucks at radio shack and do some wiring......but the $40 solution may save you a few minutes on install time.

    ^^ yep, a simple relay fixes all the issues on auto-fire up.

    will the auto lights hurt the ballasts or is it just an annoyance?
    2010 Silverado ECSB LS 4x4. Only mods so far are a K&N drop in filter and a Rough Country 2" front level kit

    nope, will not hurt them, just shocks the system when you first fire the truck.
