i recently put gibson headers on my avalanche and couldnt get the oil tube out. so like a jack ass i broke the mounting tab off, thats where booze comes into play. me and a friend got the headers on and he took off while i finished up. I got the bright idea to weld the mounting tab back on, so i pulled the dip stick out and set it on the intake so i wouldnt weld it in the tube and saw something shiney and got distracted. i got back to the truck and put the dip stick back in the tube and started welding, when i got done i realized i welded the dipstick in the tube (feel free to point and laugh)! I went to the chevorlet dealer and got a new one and started to replace it and I CANT GET THE OLD TUBE OUT.... any help or ideas would be great, i would really like to check my oil.
