Hi all, new to this site I have been coming back here looking for info for the past few days, so thought I might as well become a member.

I have a 05 with 5.3 and a couple of days before xmas it lost oil pressure all of a sudden! No warning no problems ever. I have the engine out torn down and block, crank, and rods at the machine shop. When I took the oil pan of the number 2 and 3 mains were dry as well as the 1/2 rod journal. The engine never made a sound. No lifter noise, no knock. there is about 120 000 KM/70 000 miles on the truck. I cannot find any service bullitins on an oiling issue or anything on the net. Has anyone here ever seen something like this? Sure would like to put my finger on something and say there was the problem! I will be replacing the oil pump as well when it goes back together. Also considering a cam swap as well seeing as its apart.
