It is known that the DOD lifters ARE weaker when used with Comp's XE-R and LS-K lobes due to their steep ramp rates. Also, anything over .580 lift will put a strain on them. What is the cam size you wanna go with?
224/228 580/585 113. Its a comp cam. I don't know what lobe design they are. Will the lifters hold for a couple of weeks till I can get some new lifters?

MMMMMMMMMM....that's borderline, and those lift numbers don't sound so aggressive compared to the duration. Plus you can get away with Comp 918 springs, which don't have a high spring rate. Actually, those cam specs sound well thought out. Either you have done your homework or somebody knows what they are doing spec'd it for ya.

If it is only gunna be for a couple weeks, I say go ahead.

Well i'd like to take credit for the specs but to be honest I just got really lucky!! It came up for sale on here a couple of weeks ago and G called me up and said that I HAD to get this cam! I've already ordered the 918's, hardened pushrods, and ls7 sprocket. I'm not gonna have anything else other than the cam done to the truck till I get more funds together so its not like i'm gonna be running the piss out of it. I'm still gonna be TheSlowOne in town!
