    you need to look at your power now and your future mods....i just did the 80e swap this past weekend...the 80e has a long first gear but a very strong 2nd gear that makes up for it...you can solve the power loss either by running s lightly larger verter or buy running a little more gear in the rear end

    +1 and you don't have the SEVERE RPM drop on the 1-2 like with a 60/65/70.

    That 1-2 rpm drop in the 60e is so severe it seems like it was an afterthought by the engineers who designed it. Especially on the downshift when coming to a hard stop, makes it feel like the tranny is trying to catch up to the truck
