    60e Vs 80e??

I've heard from a couple of guys that there is a lot of performance drop from a 60>80 swap.. Is that true?? How can you prevent that? Or how can you bring that power up again?

Get a converter. That will def help! I lost power but a converter will compensate for weight and power!

i dont think so, wait til monday ill let ya know for sure after the track but i ran 11.8 with a 60e and a 3600 stall. and the other night i went 12.3 with an 80e and no stall running outta the funny gas, so i really dont thing you lose much of anything the wieght difference is like 49lbs.

take that comment lightly, they can break edit: but not near as easy lol

they also rob horse power through the drivetrain, if not mistaken like 20%

I already have a Precision Industries 3000rpm stall in my 60e.. Will that one work?

20% loss of performance thru the drivetrain (on top of the performance loss in the drivetrain with the 60???

60e stall wont work and an 80e. And no, you're just looking at a little bit more drivetrain loss with an 80e as compared to a 60.

60e will work just fine if your under 500 hp...but an 80e is just added insurance.

and remember the more abuse you put a tranny through the more likely it is to break.

so i went to the track, with my 60e and 3600 stall i ran 7.50 in the 1/8th on a 200 shot....yester day i went 8.0 with an 80e stock converter on a 100 shot....so i would say you dont lose anything.
