Whats the downside to wood floors? Was leaning towards wood for cost reasons. Do they just get torn up too quickly?

Ill look into the bulldog coupler as well, thanks.

Wood floors get torn up, will rot eventually, and wood can hold a sharp piece of metal straight up that'll ruin expensive tires

best advice i can give, is to get one that the fenders don't stick up to high on. If you pull a truck up onto a trailer with tall fenders, you won't be able to open the doors. so try to find one with the deck extending out over the wheels. they are a little taller but not much. I spend about 2 days a month building hinged fender assemblies for that exact problem.

This guy has the Best Prices on them The Trailer Man dot net he is in Spring, Tx. I have the 18 ft Car Hauler with the Steel Deck from him and had no problem with it. Electric Brakes, 2ft Dove tail, Bulldog Hitch, 5ft Daimond plate Steel Ramps that slide in and out. If he don't have he can built it. The 2ft Dove tail works great for a Tool Box a just put one on it

Wood floor should last 10 years or more if taken care of but then what? Wolmanized 2X12's are not cheap to replace. +1 on the fenders that will clear the doors and REAL trailer tires.
