1 piece driveshaft OBS

He's right the biggest issue is going to be higher speed. It's ridiculous how fast the driveshaft is turning with 4.10 gears, converter locked, stock tires, and driving 80+ MPH.

There are several guys I know of who have thrown a driveshaft in their crew cabs(1 piece shaft) with just stock trucks on stock tuning.

I have a 2 piece in a OBS and I'm putting close to 600rwhp to the ground and no issues here, and I've had the truck to 165+mph too..

i have a 1 piece and so far havent had any issues with it, but i know others have... i was a little worried about it when i was spraying a 150 shot off the line! from what i can figure that was over 700lbs of TQ and i bet they arent made to handle that

I'm still rockin the one piece rear driveline too. The biggest issue is gonna be driveshaft speed, not torque/power. I snapped my trans output shaft, and the stock driveline(aluminum) lived.

so just like everything some have good luck and some have bad. My thought was getting a 1 piece may take the slight vibration i have from lowering it and be less joints to break if adding more power.

Have you had it balanced? I would start there and also check your pinion angle...

i havent had it blalanced or anything yet. When putting the drop on djm said there probaly would be a little vibration around 40-45 mph. Ive used the shims and all which it isnt bad id just like t get it even better if you know what i mean but yeah that would be my next step or getting a 1 piece.
