I almost bought an 05 crew but found this one and liked it better cause it had every option for the year, was close to how I wanted it, and was cheaper. I have had 3 of these trucks and have thought of converting to auto climate since the first one. I would have had to do the front-end swap on an 03+, i like the 99-02 front. but i have thought about buying a totalled 05-06ish truck for the guts, preferably a 2500hd.
