Dangit! I just remembered the name of the joint. It was called Fenders.

Fenders is probably good too. I think they are close to Wing House. I just think that is a great location for most of the members in DFW - IMHO.

I know the place you're speaking of, Nathan. It was on NW Hiway, on the north side of the road between loop 12 and I35e. It was bought out by the Pappas Brothers and leveled to turn the area into the restaurant row of NW Hiway. Back when street rods used to hang out at that drive-in I used to drive up from Ennis on the weekends to check out the cars. It was a top notch drive-in restaurant, probably the nicest I've ever been to.

What a great job of investigation! Ha! I'm glad I remembered the name of the old place. I guess old is correct.....you'd have to be at least as old as me to remember Fender's. It was the schiznit back in the day. Lots of Mexicos near by too....

Well, it looks like we've narrowed it down to one part of town.

What day/night of the week? Once a month is good.
The only days I'm out is Thursdays (Charity Racing League night)
and Saturdays (date night w/ my honey).
