Thread: harness

  1. #11
so should i be searching for another harness, and ecm if i want to run a old 4l60e. Would an ls1 with a 4l60e harness/ ecm work?

the ecm i have is for a 4x4, guessing 4l80

there are 19 total wires in that bundle. Dont know how many of those are for the trans. Im guessing 5 for the MAF, then that leaves 14 wires.

how many wires do the 02 sensors use, are they 3 wire sensors???
and is there an extension for the rear 02's or are they still part of the whole harness?

    thanks for the help

The fbody/ls1 harness will be a lot of work to use on a truck setup.

why's that? wouldn't it be the same, actually easier to wire in electric fans...You have more experience, so i would trust your opinion better...just curious.

gotta change out the injectors or connectors to work with the LS1 harness for the start. 99 to 2002 fbody harnesses are what I am familiar with the most. You may have to extend the MAP sensor wire, also. You are using truck accessories and intake?

I am using the stock intake manifold and accessories, I can solder the old connectors from the 6.0 harness to an ls1 harness.

Are there any other connectors that are different other than injectors.

I have a pcm, serv # is 12586242, am i able to use this since my 6.0 is cable and not fly

MAP most likely, maybe have to change out the alt connector. I'm installing a LS1 style aftermarket harness to a 5.3L right now and its all going good but I'm not too sure what a factory harness would consist of change-wise to work on the truck engine. The PCM should work but if you're getting a tune anyway, trade up for a 411 PCM. The Fbody PCM program has the benefit of being able control both fans independantly with multiple speeds.

cool, i know i keep asking this question but, will that pcm or one that ran a 4l60e in a fbody run my old 4l60e???
Are those the last numbers on the pcm,411?
