This isnt even a question. Why do ANY mods now if you're doing a motor swap and FI in a few months? Stick that money back. Remember, as many have said, when doing projects always have twice the money you expect to spend. SOMETHING WILL GO WRONG. You may need that 500$ down the road to buy new tires too.

Well, Ill need to go with e-fans when I do the swap, also a bigger radiator, the intake an UD pullies will be good for the 6.0 as well, no? To me this is just getting some things out of the way now...not to argue, but if you have a different view on it, please do explain. Im not new to the modification game, and am very used to things going wrong, the truck was originally purchased to haul my last project when things did go wrong...
I agree with you Coop. Im starting to gather stuff for my swap, also that I can still use on my current motor. Those things are all good to have now and when you do your swap. Yeah saving the money would be good to help buy those same parts later on....but why do that when you can get them no and help you now? This is just my.
Tyler has a good point too cuz you can still use all of those as well....
Either way you go Id say not spend it on anything you wont be able to use on the 6.0.

Oh don't get me wrong... I didn't mean to sound like you were a newbie or anything at this. I'm as new as anyone is. I'm sorry if I came off a little rude. If I was in your position though, I wouldn't go buy something, install it, then have to turn around in a few months and pull it all back off and reinstall again. If you're going to do a motor swap/FI, why don't you buy something for THAT application and put it in a box in the garage and let it wait? You'll have less wear on the things you buy when it comes time to put them to REAL use. E-Fans is about the best thing you've mentioned, just because when you do the swap they can stay put w/o a hassle, IMHO. Again, sorry if I sounded like a know it all/rude. I didn't mean to come off that way.

Whatever Justin. You are an asshole. Can a Moderator please ban him???????
Cooper--there are several things you can do to your current motor which will swap over to the 6.0L. But if you go FI--will it be turbo or S/C? If you go turbo, no need for spending the time or money on LTs. The pulleys, rad, efans, etc would be good for the LQ4 swap and turbo.

pl4yboy - no hard feelings at all! I just wanted to see your position, I didnt think you were trying to be rude.
txar - Im not 100% sure yet. I have a pretty solid background with turbos, so Im kind of leaning that route, STS is out of the question because the truck will be driven in the winter as well and I dont want it sitting in the salt/sand. Ive been looking at the Trick top mount...
On the other hand, I like the TVS, and supercharging would be something new for me which also has its appeal.
train horns are for assholes IMO those things are way to freaking loud..... Save the cash for late or spend it on whisky and whores
