Can you circle the area or draw an arrow to the "box" you are talking about??? There are several "things" in that pic... LOL. And could you describe the whirling noise?

Ok lemme go into paint with the picture....

Ok so the arrow is my front axle, right to the right of the arrow is where my rotor is, and i spun that, and inside that box that i spray painted red, dono what it is, where it looks like its wet. Like you said it could be a leak but i had it checked not to long ago and the fluid replaced. And the whirling noise i hear mostly around 25mph, not really at lower speeds, and not more at higher speeds. It sort of sounds like whatever is spinning in there is hitting something else, but its a constant noise, not like a click..click...tough to explain but hopefully you get what i mean

Ok, so the noise is coming from the driver's side of the front axle--right where the driver's side axle shaft enters... It could be a couple things. The splines on the axle could be worn out, the bearings could be gone, etc. Is the front an open diff? Is it stock up there? Is it more of a noise or can you feel it grinding when sitting inside the cab?

Yes its from the drivers side. Its all stock up there, and its a noise i can hear, not feel. Isn't that what shifts my front tires into 4wd when i go into 4wd? When you said if it could be leaking or have a broken seal would it look wet like it does?

I really don't know what else it could be up there. You might have to take it to the dealer and pay them a few bucks to have them check it out. You could go to the expense and get a new driver's side axle shaft, bearings, etc and not fix the problem...
No, what shifts your truck into 4WD is the encoder motor back on the transfer case.
Since the area looks damp, there has to be some sort of leak coming from the seal. If you do a good amount of driving offroad, then dust, mud, etc. can get in there and that might be the culprit of the grinding noise...

Ya i do a decent amount of offroading, and im bringing it to my mechanic and having him look at it cause we filled the front with fluid and it sorta dulled the noise but its still there, but i appreciate the help

If adding fluid to the front diff caused the grinding noise to soften, I can guarantee you that there has been a small leak in the seal which may have caused enought trouble to wear out the bearings or races there the ariver's side axle shaft enters the front diff...
