    LMAO GARRISSON!!!
Dave--I know you've got a built tranny and all, but I would love for you to call Vince and tell him you are manually shifting that thing. See what he says... So, in other words, DON'T DO IT. I know you need to do that to get the boost up so that you don't have to wait on it, but can;t you brake-torque that thing to build some kind of boost before you hammer it?

Otherwise--good runs! You have to remember the car is waaay lighter and you are a brick compared to him in the wind. That guy must have a badass Mustang to be pulling on you like that. See, every now and then you come across that one-in-a-billion cool Mustang driver. Thumbs up to that guy for trying to break the curve...

haha I knew you were going to say somethign about me manually shifting it. I do need to ask him about that though, I am shifting a little before my shift points anyway. But about brake boosting, thats a joke for my truck... I only make like 5-6 pounds WOT. I don't have near enough boost to do that. Ive tried it a few times and havent had any luck with making anything.

LOL...well, I don't wanna be Big Brother and nag you with it, but it really isn't good for the tranny. I am just warning you of it because I don;t wanna set your truck broken down on the East side of Ben White...

Why is it bad for my tranny? Don't give me insight on why its bad for a stock tranny, but why its bad for mine. Remember, I dont use it from 1-2/2-3 I just do it from 2-3 and shift before I get close to the limit. That and I have done it about 2-3 times in the course of a few months.

You just need to the the electronics and valve body do the shifting. Even on a built unit. You are ok if you downshift manually to get it spooled and shift it to the next gear before the electronics take over. Its just that shifting after the computer says it to shift messes with stuff internally.

thats what I normally do. Get into a safe mph, let off the gas, put it into 2nd, then when I gun it, I usually know I need to shift before a certain mph, and I do, and theres never any "redlining" so to speak

Yea why would that be bad i mean if your fixing to run from a roll u gotta get down in second so u can start with rpm's built up, if not u gonna get pulled....get it in second and hammer down then shift early and let the trans shift when its ready.......Whats wrong with that sweet tits???

Dammit turn up that boost and walk away from those cars. I know that system will do it. I have done it with that system to LS1 camaro's at a 40 roll. And we all know camaros own mustangs!

Ive prolly manually shifted mine 100 times now with zero problems, its the only way I can get a jump with my heavy pig.

pull her down into 2nd for that 45-55 roll, pull her down into first for that tire breaking 30 roll, hammer it and through it into drive, will shift normally after that.
