maybe it is the 505HP out of the crate plus titanium rods and forged pistons instead of powdered metal rods and hypereutecnic pistons? For the money the LS3 is a much better value but for the best performance parts fresh from the crate, it would have to be the LS7 as the 1st choice.

** edit ** Just found out that they LS7 still uses cheap hypeutechnic pistons, too. shame on GM

yeah i was thinking stock LS7 with a procharger, i guess with the right parts ls7 is first choice although id be willing to bet u could build a badassls3 for half the cost of the beefed up ls7.
