    Yeah man, its the wiring harness. There is something faulty in the steering column or a ground is not properly tightened. Make sure to check the grounds on the back on the heads by the firewall and the one down by the front of the block by the power steering pump.

    i put both grounds on the back of the block on the same bolt...this cause problems?

    Yes. Keep them separate. If they were to be combined on one ground bolt, GM would have done that from the factory.

    Those 4.3L are good stout motors.
    If you want to race a good 6.0L, race Jethro 3.

    like i said, it was after i switched the harness and its not running right, the temp isnt reading so it runs like is cold all the time (always idles fast) and the o2 sensors arent reading at all right now, when i raced the 6.0 it had the other harness and it was running right,

    Sounds like a blown fuse for the 02 sensors or faulty ground. A bad coolant sensor or wire shorted in the coolant sensor wiring can cause the same kind of issues.
