Ya, making them myself, i just like doing stuff to my on my own, i've been let down by too many shops to deal with them anymore.

Basically, for build, just buy the ls1 flange, buy lots of 90 deg elbow, and some straight pipe and weld them all together, i'll probably send them off to get coated as well.

I'm not sure on what size pipe i need for the headers, but i'll call around and find out, i'll probably just use the same size as slp or hooker or whatever.

the headers should cheaper than buying some, plus they'll fit perfectly.

That sounds like a good idea. Wish I was capable of using a welder. I have never picked one up though. Keep us up to date and informed.

Yes, they make them for the camaro.. but i dont see them fitting b/c of the differences in the chassis.. he is making them himself. Buying an LS1 flange and going from there.
looking at it that way, why wouldnt long tubes from a Camaro work? the chassis is probably the same width, and i dont see anything to get in the way of longtubes? the truck should have more room under there if anything?

the only reason i don't want to buy some camaro ls1 headers is, i wouldn't want them to no fit and then have to sell them, plus if they didn't fit, i wouldn't want to cut them up to make them fit.

i figure if i make them myself, they're gonna fit the first time, and they'll route exactly where i want them.

who has 700$ to be the pig, hahah, anyone? i'm curious if they'd fit. i know on lotsofhp's truck, they couldn't use some headers they bought, don't know what kind they were or what they were for.

Camaro / ta headers will NOT fit!!! Period... It has been tried... And you would have to cut them all up to fit.
