Man, Alan and Melissa need to read this thread. lol And the last time i went to the track i had 265/75-16 bgf kos= 32's, and no muffler and ran a 16.0 @89mph. He got the jump cause i have open differential= one wheel spin. Now i have 245/70-17 thats ruffly 28 inches i think, and I have a single chamber race muffler. thats it. Either My truck is allot faster with muffler and smaller tires or your Miata needs a good tune. or hate to say it... the miata is not as fast as my truck. I give a benifit of a doubt and bet once you tune it better itle be faster. plus i bet if he was alone in the car it would have been closer. 200lbs= 2 tenths in a car like that.
13s in a miata ? my buddies srt 4 doesnt even do that and its not stock, theres no way you woulda ran with him jeff i think he's confused, maybe he thinks 13s in the 1/8th yea that must be it. good kill by the way, guys in cars hate when a pick up eats their lunch.

Wow Jeff--that thing must be a freak or something! If that guy in the Maita can hang with an M3 and after your spinning launch, you pass them--the tires and exhaust must have made a huuuuge difference! Is the tune updated for the smaller diameter tires and exhaust?

160hp VW should be faster than that! My stock 40HP engine run the 1/4 is just under 17.

no not updated for the tires and muffler but I think its fine. when allen did the live tune I had strait pipe and the big tires. My speedo is not that far off. I do think they made a difference though. And once i get the 150 shot in ( new tune for big shot is in the mail ) Ill vanish when i race him. I just hope he is mad because i beat him, and not because he thinks im Lieing. Oh well at least I had plenty of witnesses to back up this story. I bet you would not have believed me without them.![]()
Well, if anybody is curious, the Miata was apparently broken.Or at least something died at some point during the night. Not sure what happened, but he threw it on a Dyno today, only put down around 150hp at the wheels (a good 30 or so less than it should be); and it was falling on its face after 5k RPM. Just lost all power, even though there should have been plenty of boost to keep it going.
I'm sure he feels better about losing to a truck... but now he's got some work to do!![]()
