All right guys i figure its time to start my turbo build. Now here is whats going on the GT-K1000 turbo is minebut not the intake http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/power...ke-starts.html Ok to start off with i pulled the 408 out and its staying out and for a while, i dont think the rings seated right and i wantt to change some stuff out on it so i am doing this "Quik Style" if you will. Thats right just pick up a 4.8 with 80,000 miles. The plan is to do the complete turbo setup, fuel system (new tank where spare tire goes), and electrical. Now the 4.8 i want to rebuild plan is to send it to near by shop to get balanced and have the pistons coated. Also im sending my LQ9 heads off to get worked over with new valves and a good port and polish. Im also going to get fast 92mm intake and have that PandP as well. As far as Cam set up and a few other odds and ends havent decided yet but with my understanding this will be about a 8.4:1 compression and hoping low 20psi on the 4.8 before i swap back to the 408 this is also saving me on my wallet so i dont have to buy a 80e right away...i hope
