    Injectors don't add HP(unless your current ones are filthy or plugged), they only unleash what's already there if your current injectors are maxed out.

    then what&#39;s all the hype about 60lb injectors over stock whatever injectors? i don&#39;t get any gains anywhere for any reason running "bigger" or i guess "heavier" injectors?

    bigger injectors are to supply more fuel if you&#39;re adding big cam, heads, turbo, supercharger.... any time you make more power you need the ability to feed it fuel or you run into the danger of running lean and burning the engine up. 60 lb injectors are for the guys dreaming of 600+ HP from their engines. My 42 lb injectors work great for 500 engine HP. If you&#39;re not adding more components to build more HP then larger injectors really aren&#39;t needed. On a trail jeep I wouldn&#39;t do much to the engine, you&#39;re starting out with a great engine already and once you start changing out parts like cams you end up losing low end grunt.

    Well i checked everything,

    i&#39;ve got 60psi at the rail
    i&#39;ve got 12v at the injectors (pink wires)

    but i don&#39;t have any O2 sensors hooked up....would that shut the PCM off? just a thought...

    No cause i&#39;m lazy and don&#39;t feel like taking the fuel rail off...i&#39;ll work in that next....

    12v goes straight to the injectors. You can put a momentary ground to the opposite side of the connector to fire it. You also could cut one connector off the harness and reconnect it later. Pull all the injectors off the fuel rail and feed straight fuel injector cleaner into the injector as you fire it by hooking 12v to one side of the injector and momentary ground to the other until you get a nice conical shaped pattern from the injector. I do that by placing a fuel pump in a can of cleaner, running a rubber hose from the pump to the injector and catch the spray in a seperate container. I know, sounds cheesy but it works.

    Does "momentary ground" mean something fancy, or just that...a ground for a moment....like dit dit dit dit dit to make it fire each time. cause i&#39;m not getting any fluid through the injectors, i&#39;m running a walbro external electric pump from a can of cleaner, straight to 1 injector, no leaks...but no fluid either...pumps working, and REALLY pumping the fluid with no injector on the end of the hose....can i soak the injectors over night in cleaner solution? like submerged?

    yep, dit dit dit.

    You can soak the whole injector but it might go KABOOM&#33; when you try to dit dit dit Don&#39;t do it&#33;

    Turn the injector upside down and lightly tap it on a board to free up a stuck pintle. The injectors have a small filter in the top of them, see if it&#39;s clogged. You can apply compressed air to the nozzle end to blow any debris out of the filter. It will help if you dit dit dit the injector while blowing air through it.

    Cool, thanks again for the info.

    I did "soak" them....not submerged though, i stood them up in a container that had about 1/2" of cleaner in the bottom of it, then i used a straw and filled the injectors from the top to soak overnight. I&#39;ll still empty them and let them dry before hooking juice up to them &#33; &#33; &#33; i don&#39;t wanna KA BOOM them, hehehe


    i think i&#39;m on the right track...those things were NASTY inside...
