I am not sure If my truck came with a Limited slip diff or a locker, It Has a towing package, thats all I know, It Shredds both the Rear tires just fine.. Got a little Carried away last weekend and cut donuts for about 15 minutes last weekend , Now When I make a sharp turn, My whole truck shudders and I can hear the tires fighting the turn, I dont think It is Releasing, feels like I am driving around with a spool.. She's Running Just Fine, except Turns feel...off...., Any thoughts, What does it cost to replace?

DOH! cant treat the G80 rear end that way! its kinda touchy(aka pos)...mine did that a few times but it never took that long to unlock. the things that i found to work was to take a sharp slow right turn. if that dosent work try stopping on a long straight road and stomping it from 0 to about 80 (treat it like a 1/4 pass). that worked once too. if that dosent work i dont know what to tell ya besides find a good shop and dont put another g80 in. good luck

My 04, did that about a mnth ago, and i took it to the dealer, mine started like that kinda locking when i would turn, my buddies would tel that it was locked, the about a week later, it was making a horrible noise. I had to lift it to stock and took it to the dealer ship, by the time i got there 10 minute drive my truck had thrown all the oil from differential, and round cover in the diff was broken and the gearrs where broken, it ended up the whole differetial was messed up so they had to replace, it had only 4,000 miles, right now its working great. And no more donuts.

Chrismans/California GearAuburns are inexpensive. Mine has been working great for about 8 years now. I bought it from Chrismans/California Gear. They were very reasonable.
