low end power in my tahoe

i own a 2004 4x4 chevy tahoe with roughly 75k on the odo. i am curious if a z06 cam or something of the likes will help my bottom end. it has no balls untill around 2300 rpm. don't wanna do anything major, as in a few months, i am looking to acquire a rscb to start toying with. just wanna add a little umph to my baby. and i'm new here, so please don't bash me

EDIT**** i know for that cam, i will have to change the valve springs, and have someone that is qualified to do all of this work that will offer any assistance if i need it
