    Got my motor yesterday

Picked up this little gem in jacksonville for 900 bucks. Gotta decide on a cam and stall now and get things ready for the swap then get a tune. Any reccomendations anyone? Going in my 04 reg cab DD.

Should put down more power than a stock 4.8.

    99 70k on it from a ws6.

Ill probably be doing a head swap unless i can slap my truck heads on it because one spark plug hole was seized and stripped when removing them earlier.

Spend the money on some 243s or just buy one head. What does it have for heads? 241s?

Can't you just have a thread insert installed to fix the stripped thread?

I was wondering if theres anyway to fix the stripped threads?

Nah no FI for me. just little more power than the 4.8 had.

And i wouldnt trust anyone around me to do a P&P job i doubt.

Awesome deal. I got one the other day to. Im just going to have mine pnp and valve job done.... And check out a time "sert" I think is what its called. If you know anyone at your local dealership they can help you out for the stripped bolt hole
