    another tranny problem

on my way back from the club saturday night i was on 45 and put the Nali in cruise at around 65. And then i came to this car i was going to pass up,i hit the gas up ontop where the steering wheel is. I reached about 80=85 and left it up at that.when i finally hit the brake and tried to gain some more speed my tranny started sliping like crazy.now it feels like 3rd is out,it only grabs on on high RPMs.....Any ideas?

I think you need to get a Performabuilt Transmission.

sounds lack you have a case of bad luck. . . and what everybody else says. but to me personally, it sounds like the retainers that hold the bands in place may have broken or come loose inside the tranny. unfortunatel;y if that happens, it not just a matter of reinstalling the bands, they'll get chewed up by the drum. . .

Bad trans tune settings or broken transmission wiring. Some report having an issue if the wrong operating system was loaded into the PCM. This is often done to run a 411 pcm in earlier trucks.
