They are 285/70R17 they are not that big, I know they are not good at all for street racing, but MOST of my races are sand races, that's why I'm running mudders.. I want to buy a good set of street tires to have them mounted on my stock wheels for whenever I go street or 1/4 of mile racing..

Those stock 17" GM wheels weight about 45-50 lbs each. Those DC-1 wheels will help out by saving you about 160 lbs of rotating mass. The wheels only have a 4.5" backspacing...I would have expected them to have at least 5.5".

Most offroad rims usually have 4.5" of backspacing or less. I would love to find a 16x10 with more backspacing so I could run some 28" drag radials without rubbing.

Also, if my memory serves me right those 17" aluminum stockers aren't too heavy at all. Around 35-40 IIRC.

Not really. Its just that people usually put larger size tires on those wheels that might rub the wheel wells or frame when turning hard to the left or right. But I guess it all depends on the exact tire on a certain truck.
