    Opinions About 7.4 To 5.3 Swap?

    I Have A Lifted 92 3/4 Ton Suburban With A 7.4 Big Block 7 Mpg Hog And Was Thinking About Doing A 5.3 Swap For A Neat Swap And Better Mpg,what Opinions Does Everyone Have On If The Swap Should Be Done? Thank You

    Great idea but I'd do a 6.0 instead for the added torque. With the price of gas these days, it would pay for itself in a hurry.

    Ouch!

    Buy a complete pullout with everything they'll give you. Harness, accessories, hoses, belts, PCM, flywheel, air cleaner assembly, exhaust and flanges minimum, starter...anything already bolted to the engine.

    Then you'll need the harness converted, PCM setup with a hotrod tune, motor mount adapters, electric fans(optional), electric fuel pump(if the V8 isn't injected and can't push 60 PSI of pressure)...

    If It Will Work ,convenience Of Not Having All Those Coils,a Distributor In The Front And A Carb,less Wiring Issues,but Ide Have To See If The Plate Would Fit The Front Of A 6.0
