    Cobra beaten and then killed

Ok, I said I wouldn't street race again and this time I mean it. I just left the grocery store with a cab full of groceries and this cammed sounding Cobra comes up beside me playing so I hit the pedal and leave him. He can't stand it so he does it again, I hit the pedal and leave him again. Here comes the window down and he's telling me to take a left and I said man, that's not a wise street to race on but something pulls me that way (stupidity) and I follow him. He stops beside me and I tell him the Sherriff is all over this road we better not do it ignoring me. He hits the horn 3 times and I say what the hell, there's no one around and I hit it after he takes off and take him again by a full car length and I decide to hit the break since I already took him. Just about the time I get back down to 30 he flies passed me and just behind the bushes is a Sherriff and a Constable both. I ease on down the road and the Sherriff pulls up beside me and I'm ****ttting my pants about this time because I know what's fixing to happen but the Sherriff pulls the Cobra over and I stop at the stop sign and keep driving the speed limit praying I'm not going to get a ticket or go to jail. I drive 15 miles away from the area I live in and call my Constable buddy and he says don't worry, if he wanted you he would have already had you. LOL I feel for the guy in the Cobra but I did tell him we were going into a snake pit down the road we were on. Anyway, I killed the Cobra and made it home but I'm sure the Sherriff saw the LS1Truck.com sticker on my window and might pop in here for a visit or keep an eye out for me on the street now. I've been lucky too many times and I bet my luck is fixing to run out so that's it for the street racing guys. Take it to the track if you want to be safe and stay out of trouble!

LOL...NEVER trust a Ford driver. They always have and always will be the dumbasses... IMHO, street races are fun and ok--but USE YOUR BEST JUDGEMENT. If your conscience says no, then don't do it. But if the non-residential streets are free and clear--and you KNOW no cops are present, go ahead. But still--no matter which way you look at it, you are rolling the dice...

x2 on taking it to the track.

Also, do you know what year/body style Cobra it was you raced? Also, what are your mods, and do you have any times?

I think low 13's then? based on his mods...maybe high 12s? Depending on the year of the cobra, and the mods, the 1/4 mile times would vary from low 13's to mid 11's.
