    avg Hp gaines from Pacesetter Headers and ORY

    just curious what do you think the average Hp gaines i can get from the longtubes?? i was thinking like 10hp.. does that sound right?

    As much work as it is to install them, and as much as they cost, I wouldn't even consider installing long tubes if they didn't give a gain of at least 11 horsepower.

    it doesnt take long at all.... i did it with floor jacks, jack stands and hand tools

    Headers may only gain you 10 hp on a stock engine but it enhances the performance of other mods as you go along. A cam with stock exhaust won't output as much HP as a cam with LT headers....etc

    well, i do have a procharger and already had a catback, but 10 seems like a very low gain. i just installed long tubes and y-pipe and on the butt dyno i felt what seemed like 30 or more, the trucks revs like a bike and just freakin roasts the tires in first and second.

    well if allen says 10 i'm sure he knows, maybe my dyno needs to be calibrated.

    I've heard that to even feel a difference, you need at least 25 more HP. I don't know, though.
