You can use it but by the time you buy all the adapters and brackets to make it work you could have picked up an 4L60e or 4L65e from a salvage. Sell your 700r4 to offset the cost of the 4L60e

What adapters and brackets do you mean? I'm in kinda the same boat with my Vortec 5.3 and the 700R4. Sure there's a mount for the TV cable that's needed, and a $35 spacer for the flexplate, but other than that?
