First of all get a tune and go from there. Lots of other options...
Cold air intake, ported throttle body, headers, cat-back exhaust, cam, torque converter, electric fans, et.c
What you do next depends on what you have to spend...
well my 1st two steps were lt headers and a tune im lookin to put at least 12-1400 in motor work. alone this is just a truck truck lookin to kick a few buts when the time is there.
You'll notice a huge difference with the tune and the headers. If you're looking to spend another $1200 or so, go with a cam and torque converter.
If you have $1400 to spend, then do what Yankee said--Tune, CAI, LT's, ORY, Cam, ported TB, etc. If you know how to install that stuff yourself, you can save a lot of $$$!!!

do NOT buy a weind intake manifold...spend the cash on a stall, headers, tune and you'll be happy. I know I am!
with the long tube headers what brand i should roll with ,but i have emissions to wory about what all is need besides the ory so i can still pass emissions. high flow cats?

skip the intake manifold for awhile...but get tune, headers, cam, stall, gears and hit the road
