    New from Dallas

Hey eveyone im new from dallas (las colinas, irving). Trucks a 2004 Avalanche 5.3L, 22 inch gitano rims w/ kuhmo rubber, 2/3 drop, sway bars, custom sound, grill guard, Custom true duals, hpt tune, transgo hd2 shift kit, corvette servos, efans, underdrive pulley, tsp 224r with 112 lsa, 3200 stall tq. just started to really mod my truck. But one thing, I saw a red silvy ss in port o conner texas around mid july who had a massive blow out on one of his tires. just wanted to see if i could figure out who it was.

im in highschool so truck is a dd and i want to make it so i can smoke a few guys at my school (one guy drives the new jeep grand cherokee srt-8) next plans are a few more cosmetics (paint?, drop, etc) then ill move onto some more engine/transmission work like a flt 4L80e and a turbo kit. i doubt i could do a engine swap so ill have to stick to the 5.3.

Welcome! Sounds like a nice ride for someone in high school! Good luck with trying to match runs with that SRT8 Grand Cherokee. That bastard is freaking quick off the line with their AWD. There are a couple other things you could do--Cold Air Intake, Throttle Body, MSD plug wires, etc--the list goes on... If you do a turbo kit, you could probably hang with him, but once you do that, the 60e will have to be swapped out soon cause it won't be able to handle the power and weight very well. Good luck!

    Welcome to the site...

You've got your work cut out for you with the Jeep. Maybe with some forced induction you could take him. They run low 13's I believe. You could do some weight reduction - lose the grill guard, etc.

thanks everyone for the welcomes. i know theres no way in hell im gunna hang with the srt-8. im gunna try to keep the 60e as long as i can and then once it comes time, bribe the technician to say it was a falty trans then have my dad buy a flt. red03, i first saw your truck one night at the restraunt at the very far end of poc and we all saw your blown out tire. looks like it was very bad. i was driving the avalanche but i saw your truck probably around 10 times the whole weekend i was there. i saw the ls1truck sticker and thats what brought me here. do you go there a lot?
